Hadith

Zayd ibn Khalid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever helps break the fast of a fasting person, he will have the same reward as him without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.”

Help cook and deliver Iftar/Suhr for imam who is leading Taraweeh at our masjid.

Please only use halal meat or you may also choose to provide vegetarian or seafood based dishes.

To provide equal opportunity and share the cost evenly across sponsors, this year each sponsor is required to donate $200/iftar and one person can sponsor multiple Iftars. We have 60 spots available. If you are interested in sponsoring, please submit this form by Feb 15th and we will be in touch with you.

Eid Day updates

MOON SIGHTING WILL BEGIN AT MAGHRIB, KEEP VISITING THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES.

For Eid day, Inshallah we will be following the moon sighting and the exact day is not yet known. We are anticipating Eid would be either on Apr 10th or Apr 11th. We will keep you updated about the exact day via WhatsApp notifications. Please join our WhatsApp broadcast if you haven’t already joined.

Eid Prayer will be held at ISCI mosque, 2310 Chestnut Street, Columbus, IN – 47201

  • Takbeer starts at 8:00 AM EST
  • Prayer starts at 8:30 AM EST
  • Please arrive early and allow yourself some time, so that you can walk from overflow parking at Donner’s Park (739 22nd Street, Columbus, IN, 47201).
  • It will be 5-10 mins walk from there.
  • Kindly do not block driveways of our neighbors.
  • We will be organizing light refreshments like coffee, donuts, bagels, and tea.
  • Please feel free to bring any breakfast items in two trays, for men and women to share with community.

Zakat-ul-Fitr / Sadaqat-ul-Fitr

  • Minimum recommended Zakat Ul Fitr amount is determined as $12 per person.
  • However if you are able, we highly encourage you to please donate $40 per person or any amount between $12 to $40 per person in your family.
  • We have a separate Zakat Ul Fitr Box placed inside the masjid with label on it.
  • Please make sure to give your Fitra before Apr 5th to allow us to distribute funds.
  • Please do not forget to pay Zakat Ul Fitra before the Eid prayer as it is made obligatory upon us.

You can also donate online. Please select “Zakat-Ul-Fitr” option before proceeding. MAKE SURE TO COVER YOUR TRANSACTION FEES.

Laylat-ul-qadr

  • Laylat-ul-qadr night will be observed during the night of April 6th, Saturday.
  • To clarify, laylat-ul-qadr could be on any of the odd nights in the last ten nights of Ramadan. We picked this date as it is one of the odd night and it is a weekend to make it easier for kids and rest of the community members.
  • We will have guest speakers, kids event, story time, tahajud, suhoor planned for the community members. PLEASE RSVP NOW for us to plan better. More information to follow soon.
